Add a client
A client is who a course belongs to. Every course, bundle and certificate template is owned by exactly one client, so this is usually the first thing you set up on a new account.
BEFORE YOU START
Adding clients requires the Clients feature to be enabled on your account. If the Add Client button is greyed out, contact support to have it switched on — you can still edit any clients that already exist.
Create the client record
A client needs only a name and an email address to exist. Everything else — logo, certificates, portal access, privacy policy — is added later from the client's edit page.
Open Clients from the sidebar and choose Add Client.
Enter the Client Name. This is what you and your participants will see everywhere the client is referenced.
Enter an Email Address. It is used for notifications and, if you turn it on later, client portal access.
Set the Attendance Timezone. Check-in and check-out timestamps for this client's bundles are stored in UTC and displayed in this timezone, so pick where the sessions actually happen.
Choose Create Client. Both the name and the email address can be changed later.
What becomes available
Once a client exists, it appears everywhere a course, bundle or certificate needs an owner.
GOOD TO KNOW
The Clients list shows a course count and a bundle count for each client. A dash means the client has none yet — not that something is missing.
If something isn't working
What next
With a client in place, the natural next steps are to build something for it and, if the client should see its own results, open the client portal.
